The brake input works (when I press the brake, the system shuts off)įactory alarm rearm output not connected. I have the hood pin disconnected (not grounded). I have the tachometer input disconnected. +12V (x2) ->Red & Red/White (both constant) IGN2 ->White C5 ("Off/Run/Crank voltage")ĪCC1->Orange D1 (currently disconnected while I'm trouble shooting since the C201 wiring diagram shows pin D1 as being "Ignition 3 voltage") If anybody has any insight, or the full wiring diagram, I would really appreciate it. His only suggestion to me, after I explained my problems, was to try to use the TRUNK button to start it instead and see if that works. He said that they don't have ANY wiring diagrams with pin locations (how did they design these things in the first place?). How the heck can they put SO many wires of identical size and color into the same bundle!? Is it that hard to throw a few differently colored stripes down the sides for clarification? Also, when I called customer service to get some tech support, I received a call back from somebody who I think was at a daycare because I could hardly hear him with all of the kids screaming in the background (and directly into the phone). The wiring diagram that the manufacturer provided, and the one here on the site, just lists wire colors which doesn't help very much. I believe that the issue most likely lies with the bypass module and that the Passlock2 isn't disengaging, therefore not allowing the starter to work.ĭoes anybody have the actual connector diagrams with pin locations for an '04 Rainier (or Envoy/TB)? I'd like to be able to double check the work and make sure that the wiring is all correct. The starter never even clicks or turns over though. It will attempt to start with the starter wire coming from the remote starter providing a short burst of 12 volts. Basically, everything works as it should (lights come on, brake pedal cancels the sequence, etc.), except that the vehicle never turns over. We pulled out the good old Fluke, and I think we were able to solve the puzzle (sort of). The installation instructions don't give any pin locations, just wire colors, which isn't very useful when there are as many as 7 wires of identical size/color in the bundle below the steering column. I believe the problem is that we may not be tapping into all of the correct wires. I installed them with a guy who's very knowledgable with cars/wiring and we were both baffled. Boy it's been a long time since I've posted on here (a new baby will do that to you).Īnyways, I installed a Valiant (IC Dynamics) RS160 remote starter and GMSL1 bypass module (to get around the Passlock2) this past Saturday and it didn't work.
